Roll
The number the die actually showed, before anything is added or taken away.
The roll is what the die landed on. If a twenty-sided die shows 14, the roll is 14. The rules then add or subtract modifiers to get the total, and the total is compared with a target number. Players always press Roll themselves; the app does the adding up.
